Butterfly PinningAges 16+
Enjoy an afternoon with fellow butterfly lovers as you learn how to preserve and respect this beloved insect. We will walk through the fascinating biology of butterflies and cover all the bases on how to prepare these winged beauties for preservation. Each class will cover a new species. All experience levels are welcome!
Materials: All materials will be provided.
Ages: 16+
Notes: All butterflies and insect specimens are ethically sourced from reliable and trusted retailers. These retailers work directly with the local communities that provide us with these lovely specimens and put the care of the insects first. The local communities from which these insects come use their knowledge and skills to create insect farms, which in turn help to protect local land from deforestation and harmful crop practices. More information will be provided in class.
