Disappointment Before Success

For the past two months I have been sending out query emails to literacy agents across the board. New agents, senior agents and sometimes a full agency of agents! Why do I need an agent? A 15 year old trying to get her book out to the world is easier said than done. I cannot simply just walk up to a publishing agency and hand them my book to be published. They will most likely turn me away like any other aspiring Illustrator/Author. An agent can help me get past those doors with a representative for me at my side. This makes me look like I have a good story to tell or Illustrations that are worth while. Although I've only gotten polite unfortunate "No's" or "Not right now's. Sorry." I have done extensive hours of research and have a list of agents that could end up giving me that one "Yes!" I'm looking for! I wont give up as this industry is highly subjective and every agent is looking for something to their tastes with an added different opinion. Everything comes so easily to me with my efforts and professionalism that it is difficult for myself to here rejection. I know that there is that one person out there that will help guide me with this project and hopefully future projects to come! I just have to find them!
