Assemblage Project

Stepping into this project I acknowledged I that I hadn’t ever done a project like this before. Relying on my design skills I created one of my favorite pieces of art in the course of a couple weeks. I’ve titled my assemblage, “Concrete Taking Over”. During the project I never actually had a solid plan, I sat with the pieces and played until I found my idea! When painting one side of the cardboard pieces white and the other black and orientate them a certain way you can get a very neat effect when spinning the project around and around. Learning a long the way on how I could make my project have a bigger impact to people by adding a meaning to it has taught me to think about how I am going to incorporate that into my next painting! I added a green space/forest in the center of my project and borrowed a quote from Albert Einstein to help express the amount of buildings/pollution/evil there is compared to what is left of the actual beauty/land/untainted parts of the world. I am excited to get working on our net project incorporating the elements I’ve put into my assemblage.
