I really love sharing what I am working on. People really seem to connect with you more if you show your raw footage and images of working and creating. I have learned from my first book that I would have liked more video footage of myself working on it and more photos of the journey. So for this book I’ve made it a point to video every few pages and I started from the beginning documenting everything. I find as an artist documenting everything can really support you when you go to talk about your process or the materials you used and how you used them. People want to see how a 15 year old, 17 year old created their first and second published book! I find it also helps myself stay focused when the camera is on because there is that small amount of pressure. It helps me make my work and choices precise and purposeful.
