Thursday March 15th I presented to the board of Rocky View Schools District! It's been my biggest presentation yet and I'm glad that I did it! Although I walked in with no nerves on my chest the second I stood to open my mouth every nerve I had put away came to the surface to greet me! I do better in front of people my age I guess. I can dance on stage for three minutes in front of a thousand people with great ease but talking in front of ten people for thirty seconds can be a challenge. I was picked a long with a couple other students to represent the academies at our school! The performing arts, mechatronics, music and the visual art and media academies. Our teachers Mr.gray and Ms.Cunningham presented what we were all about and why they started this program and then let us have thirty seconds to give our progress, opinion and point of views on our experience! It was a blast and I'm so glad I was there to help begin what could be a new program brought to many students! This opportunity has been the best one I've taken ever! This presentation was great practice for teaching and gave me a peak at what a school board meeting looks like. My dad that night told me how proud he was of me and how far I've come at only age fifteen. He said when he was fifteen he was a teenage boy just messing around with his friends. His words have never meant more to me and cannot wait to show him how much more successful his daughter will be.
