Today I sat down with the children at the library, enjoying their summer program called "Wild Wednesday!" We sang songs, we learned about bears and we made some crafts with the kids. They were having a blast. Near the end of their program I read my new children's book, "When I Grow Up..." to them and their parents. While I read the children came from their mats up closer to me to see the pictures better and they were all really quiet and intent on listening to my book. I was so pleased with their little questions and wondering eyes.
"Baxter just wants to be an owl that's all!?"
I cannot wait for next week as I will be reading to another group of kids again. I loved seeing their little faces light up and be curious about what was Baxter the bear going to do next to solve his problem? I am excited to get my book officially published as many parents have asked where they can buy my book from!
